David Lough to speak on Brendan Bracken

7th May 2015

David Lough will reveal the full extent of Brendan Bracken’s services to Winston Churchill as his ‘honorary man of business’ during a talk at the Brendan Bracken Library on Friday 16 October. Bracken negotiated many deals for Churchill and organised two important financial rescues when his debts and tax bills threatened to engulf his political career.

The mysterious newspaperman turned his hand during the war to negotiating film rights for Churchill’s books, gradually transforming the British leader’s financial fortunes.  A limited number of tickets are available to the public (contact The Librarian, Sedbergh School).
